Brooke Guinyard is in the band program at Danbury Public Schools in Connecticut. She's in fourth grade and has been playing the clarinet for five months.

Tell us a little bit about yourself. Who nominated you? How long have you been playing your instrument?

The person who nominated me is Ms. Core. I have two siblings, a boy and a girl. Their names are Jayson and Nellie. I have played my instrument for five months.

What has music and your program taught you?

My program taught me to practice all notes like Bb,C, D, E, F, and E. Something I learned was how to play Merrily We Roll Along.

What is your favorite piece of music to play?

My favorite music to play is Hot Cross Buns.

What do you like to do for fun? Do you have any hobbies?

I like to have dance parties with my family. I have two hobbies, making my bed and cleaning my room.

What is your favorite subject in school? Why?

My favorite subject is math because we sometimes do fun games and in math we do a lot of addition.

What are your plans for the future?

My future plans are to become an actor and get married.
