January Music Student of the Month

Aman and Akash with GuitarsThis is the first time we’ve had the honor of showcasing two music students at once, and the first time we’ve had twins! INTEMPO’s lead teaching artist, Scott Hill, nominated Aman and Akash Vishnubhatta for SpreadMusicNow’s Music Student of the Month.

Aman and Akash have excelled during the shift to online learning and during INTEMPO’s new ear training program components. They are always on time, practice their instruments, and participate in classes. They even attended Scott’s online concert and have helped out during the tri-lingual library program about reading at a young age. We are delighted to feature these twin students.

Tell us a little bit about yourself. How long have you been playing your instrument?

We have been playing guitar for the last 3 years.

What has music and/or your program taught you?

We've learned to read and play notes, interval training, and rhythms and beats.

What is your favorite piece of music to play?

Adelita. Because this is the first time one of us could play the melody while the other could play the bass.

What do you like to do for fun? Do you have any hobbies?

Aman: I like soccer, playing video games, reading books, and drawing comics.

Akash: I like sports (tennis, soccer), reading Harry Potter, playing songs on the keyboard, and cards.

What is your favorite subject(s) in school? Why?

Aman: Science is my favorite subject.

Akash: I like gym and math.

What are your plans for the future?

Aman: I want to discover a new species or make some hybrid animals.

Akash: I want to become a professional soccer player, and get a pet.

Check out Aman and Akash playing their favorite piece of music together!
