SpreadMusicNow’s Next Chapter

SpreadMusicNow has always been about helping kids. Through music, we’ve worked to improve and transform the lives of underserved children, putting them on a path to a successful and enriching life. This has been an incredibly fulfilling mission and has allowed us to help thousands of children in communities across the nation.

In order to better sustain this pursuit, our vision had been to develop a stream of charitable revenue generated from live concert events, in partnership with our artist ambassadors. Unfortunately, due to the impact of COVID-19, this model is impracticable and unsustainable. Accordingly, we have decided to wind down the nonprofit corporation, SpreadMusicNow, Inc. (the events-based fundraising arm of BeFoundation’s SpreadMusicNow Fund) beginning on January 1, 2021.

We want to thank SpreadMusicNow, Inc. Executive Director Tom Baggott for his commitment and effort, as he spearheaded the live event initiative and worked to steer the organization through these rough waters.

To be clear, our mission and commitment to supporting kids, establishing equitable educational opportunities, and enriching the livelihoods of children nationwide have not changed. The SpreadMusicNow Fund, which is organized as a donor-advised fund and administers all raised funds on behalf of SpreadMusicNow, will continue to exist, as does our commitment to all of our fans and followers.

The SpreadMusicNow Fund can still accept donations if you or anyone you know would like to help fund equitable opportunities in music education for underserved youth.

This isn’t the end, but a new and hopeful beginning in response to a changing world. As you read this, we’re working on our next chapter, and we’ll be back in touch soon to let you know all about it.

We thank you for your continued support. We wish you happy holidays, safety, and health in the coming year.
