June Music Student of the Month

AlinaAlina Caba from Danbury Public Schools is SpreadMusicNow's Music Student of the Month for June. Alina is a 6th grader who plays the violin. She was nominated by Mary Peters, the Orchestra Director.

What has music and/or your program taught you?

The music education program taught me how to play the violin and learn all the notes on the strings.

What is your favorite piece of music to play?

Olympic Fanfare from Bugler’s Dream by Leo Arnaud arranged by Paul Lavender.

What do you like to do for fun? Do you have any hobbies?

I like to play basketball and draw.

What is your favorite subject(s) in school? Why?

Math is my favorite subject because we learned how to do the standard algorithm in multiplication.

What are your plans for the future?

I want to play for the UCONN Women’s Huskies basketball team.
