June Music Student of the Month

Congratulations to Ana Cardoso, our June Music Student of the Month from VH1 Save the Music / Danbury Public Schools! Ana belongs to the band program at her school, Hayestown Avenue Elementary School in Danbury, CT, where she is about to complete the fourth grade.

Tell us a little bit about yourself. Who nominated you? How long have you been playing your instrument?

Ms. Conrad nominated me. Also, my dad because he plays the trombone so he was like, "What instrument do you want to play?" And I said the trumpet.

What has music and/or your program taught you?

How to buzz on your mouthpiece.

What is your favorite piece of music to play?

Jingle Bells.

What do you like to do for fun? Do you have any hobbies?

Slime and bike riding.

What is your favorite subject(s) in school? Why?

Music because of the fun activity.

What are your plans for the future?

Becoming a trumpet player.
