February Music Student of the Month

We're pleased to announce that Kaihya Thomas has been nominated to be SpreadMusicNow's February Music Student of the Month.

Kaihya Thomas is a junior at Bassick HS in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She plays clarinet in the Bassick jazz band and sings in the Bassick chorus. Bassick is a very low performing and underserved school but Kaihya is certainly making the very best of it.

Kaihya also plays cello in the KEYS Orchestra on Saturdays and sings in the KEYS Chorus as well. Her KEYS teacher Matthew Detroy describes her as super organized, intelligent, and a genuinely good person.

Her ambition is to go to Medical School and become a surgeon -- and minor in music.
