December Music Student of the Month

Congrats to Emily Huyhua, our Music Student of the Month!

Emily plays the Violin, Charango, and Guitar at INTAKE Music in Stamford, Connecticut. She was nominated by Angie Durrell, the Founder and Artistic Director of INTAKE Music.

Emily began playing the violin at age 8. She has always been curious to learn on her own, and she wanted to be even more challenged by learning the guitar and charango. Her motivation to improve her ability to read music has impressed us this year, and she continues to take more leadership roles with our advanced ensemble and in every outreach performance that they do as a team.

In her group guitar class, she and her sister have helped other kids understand what is being taught and help to get everyone on the same 'page'.

She is a joy to have in our organization and we can't wait to see where her music will continue to take her!
